Almond-shaped(?) body. Oval(?), slightly concave discus has two holes upper and lower left (matching two on right?), low relief of Latin cross with flaring bars and raised border apparently without ornament, and rounded, raised rim with flat globules. Flat shoulder has narrow groove with irregular herringbone in relief with flat globules on outer edge. Slight joining ridge.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
5YR 6/6, reddish yellow. Late Roman Athenian fabric: hard, sand clay with very small, rare, subangular quartzite and small, very rare, subrounded, calcite inclusions.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves less than one-quarter of discus and one-third of left shoulder. Moderate, extensive abrasion; scattered traces of encrustation and streaks of black discoloration.
