Circular, concave, plain discus has central filling hole and raised, rounded framing ring. Wide, slightly rounded shoulder has six to seven large ovules per side and double circles at nozzle. Wide, pierced handle with two grooves in front extends halfway down back wall. Flat, plain(?) base has single circular groove preserved.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 7.5YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Slip: 5YR 5/4, reddish brown. Fine, somewhat hard fabric with very rare, very small, subrounded, dark red to black inclusions. Semilustrous, somewhat thick, somewhat uneven to streaky slip that is flaking in small pieces everywhere. Cf. KL053.
Preservation comment
Four joining sherds preserve three quarters of discus and shoulder, one half of handle, and small part of base. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and chipping; slight patches of encrustation or fine plaster around handle.
