Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 7/6, light red. Slip: 2.5YR 5/4, reddish brown. Somewhat coarse, hard fabric with frequent, very small, rounded and subrounded, white (calcite?) and black inclusions, slightly golden micaceous, and infrequent, spherical voids opening on surface. Somewhat thick, semilustrous, even slip fired black where thickest; covers top and sides but not entire base.
Preservation comment
Seven joining sherds preserve two thirds of discus, three quarters of shoulder, and most of the base. Well preserved surface but thin, extensive film of encrustation on top front.
