Circular outline. Circular, concave discus has filling hole right, figural relief, and wide, flat framing ring. Relief depicts frontal bust of Serapis looking slightly left with thick hair, wearing chlamys draped over right shoulder, and characteristic headdress. Eyes and hair show slight retouching. Shoulder has panels and large ovules. Flat, kite-shaped nozzle; traces of burning. Narrow, vertical, pierced handle with two grooves attaches to rim of discus. Clay nodules in grooves.

10YR 7/6, reddish yellow. Early/Middle Roman Corinthian pale lamp fabric.
Preservation comment
Six joining pieces preserve three quarters of discus, two thirds of shoulder, most of handle, and left nozzle. Scattered patches of encrustation.
