Description
Concave discus has relief of shaggy ram with beard and horns leaping left. Product of western Asia Minor.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
5YR 7/8, reddish yellow. Slip: 10R 6/8, light red. Fine, soft fabric has very rare, very small, subrounded(?) black particles, uncommon, small, subrounded to subangular, white (calcitic) inclusions, and very rare, medium-sized, angular, red chunks. Non-micaceous content. Thin, semilustrous, uneven slip on exterior and continuing inside, brushed and smoothed around shoulder and walls. Cf. KL275a.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves small part of discus. Slight, moderate abrasion.
