Tear-shaped(?) outline. Concave discus has relief of scallop and three petals(?) at top, at least one small filling hole upper left, and a sharp, narrow framing. Shoulder has irregular herringbone. Thick, partly pierced handle has two grooves.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Late Roman Corinthian red fabric: dense, heavy, brick-like, granular fabric has common, medium-sized, subrounded to subangular, white and gray inclusions, occasionally spalling; thoroughly fired to greenish gray (Gley 1 5/1 5GY).
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves small part of discus, less than one quarter of rim, and middle handle. Slight chipping around edges; slight, extensive film of encrustation.
