Description
Plain, flat base. Narrow piriform body. Tall, cylindrical neck flares slightly upward; everted, rounded rim with slopiong outer face. Faint spiral turning marks on neck and distinct scratches on body.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 6/3-7/3, dull orange. Slightly coarse fabric, consistently fired to dull orange though with slightly browner core where thickest at base, with frequent, tiny, elongated and subangular, light inclusions, often visible on surface due to wear. Thin, streaky, matte slip on all surfaces, slightly lighter than clay.
Preservation comment
Intact. Slight calcareous etching across surface.
