Pitcher. Slightly concave bottom and short, flaring foot with rounded outer edge. Ovoid body. Wheel ridging on exterior lower body; turning marks on interior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 6/6, reddish yellow to 10R 6/6 to 5/8, light red toward surfaces. Gritty, somewhat hard fabric with hackly to platy fracture has rare to uncommon, very small, subangular, white and gray inclusions and very rare, large, subrounded, light (“calcitic”) inclusions. Thin, even, matte slip on all surfaces, slightly darker color than fabric.
Preservation comment
Five joining sherds preserve entire base and large part of lower body. Severe, extensive erosion to flaking state; slight, sparse abrasion and chippping around edges.
