Description
Shallow foot; slightly concave bottom and thinning floor. Interior floor has two grooves and two superimposed central stamps, shallow or incompletely incuse: early and late stag leaping left. Hayes Group IIB/III (late 5th-6th century).
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical LRC fabric and slip. Slipped only on interior. Turning marks on bottom.
Preservation comment
Four sherds, two pairs nonjoining (frr a/b), preserve ca. 30% of base and floor. Slight, sparse abrasion, chipping, and pitting; sparse patches of encrustation. Linear scratches and scoring across floor from use?
