Regional copy of North African lamp; material and manufacture distinguish it from Corinthian products: further south, Argive?
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: pinkish buff but slightly more pale at surface; fine, smooth breaking; rare, tiny white (calcitic?) bits and micaceous. Cf. Southern Argolid fabric. Firing: consistent. Surface treatment: smoothed wall. Carefully smoothed lateral seam, to the extent that it is discernible.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 30% of left top of lamp, including small part of discus and most of shoulder. Very slight abrasion and chipping around edges; mostly clean breaks.
