Fabric, firing, and surface description
Orange fabric, consistently fired; soft, rather fine; smooth break; uncommon, poorly sorted, tiny lime and dark gray to black specks; no visible mica. Thin, somewhat uneven wash, same color as fabric. Faint turning marks on lower body; surface smoothed; turning grooves inside neck. Regional?
Preservation comment
Intact. Slight, sparse abrasion and large chips from lip; slightly worn breaks; thick, widespread patches of encrustation inside neck and around base of handle and lower wall.
