Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical fabric (fine, micaceous, pinkish), firing (hard), and surface treatment (thick, mostly even, mottled, with metallic sheen). Prominent smoothing marks around handle attachment to ornament.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves small part of discus rim and adjacent shoulder, entire loop handle, and lower back part of attachment of large handle shield or ornament. Slight, extensive abrasion and minor chipping around edges; crazing slip; worn breaks; scattered blobs and patches of encrustation.
