Type Middle Roman Athenian lamp fabric, firing (consistent), and surface treatment (orange slip; thick, even, semilustrous).

Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for ware: brownish red, hard, somewhat gritty fabric; tiny lime and black specks, poorly sorted; overall heavy construction.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 80% of top of lamp, including nearly entire discus, right shoulder up to back edge of wickhole, and upper handle. Surfaces in good condition and breaks clean; rare small specks of encrustation adhering.
