Amphora. Wide, low sloping (or rounded?) shoulder; dense combing on upper wall. Graffito of large Greek letter in sharp deep strokes, inscribed before firing, on shoulder up to turn to neck: K[ ].
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pink to pale red fabric, consistently fired. Fine, medium hard; smooth to slightly conchoidal break. Uncommon, well sorted, small, rounded, angular, and tabular white (calcareous) inclusions; faintly micaceous. Variant of LRA2 southern Argolid fabric? “Consistently fired red.“
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves part of shoulder and upper body. Faint, sparse abrasion and chipping around edge; mostly clean breaks; wide, thin and inconsistent film of white encrustation.
