Description
Pitcher. Convex body tapers upward. Low ridging around wide part of body. Graffito in sharp, deep strokes, inscribed before firing, on shoulder: M.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale red fabric; surface wash buff with tinge of red; consistently fired. Medium fine, medium hard; granular break. Common, well sorted, tiny, black, red, and dark gray bits; common, small, golden mica flakes. Surface well smoothed.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves small part of upper wall. Slight, extensive abrasion with scratching and flaking; worn breaks; thin film of encrustation across breaks.
