Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical Late Roman Attic lamp fabric (pale red, moderately fine(, firing (consistently hard), and surface (smooth but unslipped). Cleanly joined and slight right misalignment of seam at handle.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 30% of lamp, including roughly one-quarter of right discus, roughly one-half of right to back shoulder, entire handle, large part of wall, and small part of base. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and rare chipping; worn breaks; many scattered specks of encrustation.
