Description
Round, slightly concave discus has three filling holes and figural relief: Eros facing right, right wing spread and right arm extended out, apparently riding an animal (bird?).
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Dark orangish pink, somewhat hard, with infrequent, small, subrounded calcitic inclusions, rare, gray, subangular bits and faintly golden micaceous; consistently, hard fired; thin, somewhat even wash same color as fabric. Typical MR-LR Asia Minor.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve ca. 75% from top of lamp but missing nozzle. Slight, extensive erosion, moderate, extension abrasion, and sparse chipping; worn breaks; thick, extensive patches of encrustation.
