1960s: sherds rejoined with shellac and ca. 40% of body restored with plaster painted brownish gray.
Description
Small dish with flaring walls, thickened triangular rim, slightly concave floor. Turning marks on exterior wall and underside.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine fabric fired to light red. (The refitting obscures all breaks so core is not visible.) Where fabric is visible through wear, there are no discernible inclusions. The darker red slip is smoother on interior.
Preservation comment
Six joining sherds preserve ca. 60% of vessel. Slight abrasion and scratching on all surfaces; no visible encrustation. Slip dulled.
