Description
Conical loom weight tapering at inflection near bottom. Flat bottom. Two shallow stamps above and below inflection line, lower one partly impressed to right. Above: oval around relief of small conical loom weight, rounded below and short horizontal rod transfixing sharp top. Below: rectangle around bold letters in relief, ΜΕΛ[ΙΣ] (sublinear dot with lambda).
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves only lower 60% survives. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion with rare gouging and common pitting, and one chip; worn breaks.
