Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical Late Roman Athenian fabric (pale red; hard; small, white and black inclusions), firing (consistent), and surface (orangish red; thick, even, semilustrous). Surface smoothed; misalignment at seem.
Preservation comment
Four joining sherds preserves ca. 65% from lamp but missing most of middle to front of discus and entire nozzle. Slight, sparse abrasion, flaking and chipping mostly on bottom; somewhat worn breaks; few specks of encrustation around lower handle and base.
