1960s: mended with shellac.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: brownish red, slightly more brown at surface; medium coarse, hard, granular break; well sorted, common, small to medium sized, subrounded white calcareous chunks, subangular quartzitic chunks; uncommon to rare, small, angular, black and gray inclusions; rare, angular, opaque pink stone inclusions; uncommon, small voids. Surface: unslipped; rough texture.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve ca. 30% from front of lamp, including small part of shoulder, wall, and base and entire nozzle. Moderate, extensive abrasion and frequent pitting; worn breaks; thin, faint film of encrustation.
