Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical fabric (orangish red, medium fine, smooth fracture but slightly platy), firing, and surface treatment (somewhat thick, even, semimatte slip, deep red with tinge of purple).
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves entire central handle and adjacent discus and two joining fragments preserve ca. 70% of base. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and extensive chipping around edges; widely flaking slip; worn breaks; rare specks of encrustation.
