Description
Triangular handle ornament.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: brownish red. Fine but slightly granular, somewhat soft (weathered?), numerous inclusions: uncommon clustered, small, angular white; frequent, well-sorted, gray and black bits. Somewhat thin, even, matte slip, orangish red, preserved in patches. Italian fabric?
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 65% of lower to middle ornament. Moderate, extensive erosion and abrasion; worn breaks; few specks of encrustation (marine?).
