Fabric, firing, and surface description
Orangish red, surface (2-3mm) fired more pale. Medium coarse sandy, hard (but core eroded from seawater); granular break, crumbly; gritty to sandy texture on exterior. Common, well sorted, small to rarely medium sand particles (pale, quartzitic; uncommonly white; rare varied tiny bits).
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves ca. 10-12% of rim and small part of adjacent upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion with chipping; very worn breaks; outside surface mostly in good condition; severe erosion of exposed core. Weathering consistent with long marine submersion.
