Small conical cup with vertical rim, distinct flange, and conical foot. Vertical rim very slightly convex on outer face and slightly thickened at lip; no rouletting. Slight flange is triangular in shape with sharp outer edge and very slight offset from wall at lower face. Tool mark distinguishes underside of floor from conical base. At center of underside of base there is a small spiral tool mark with six diagonally radiating tick marks of increasing length.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light, very fine fabric as normal for ware. Variable thin red slip on surface, fired darker in patches on inner join of rim and wall, thicker patches on underside of base.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves most of vessel but missing two segments of rim. Moderate, extensive abrasion, rare scratching to gouging, and rare chipping around edges; scattered specks of encrustation.
