Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: dark buff surface but core more pale pink; moderately micaceous; rare varied small bits; dense. Hard fired. Surface slightly rough. Rare clay nodules in grooves. Slight ridging and webbing at seam. Late Antique Southern Argolid fabric.
Preservation comment
Intact. A few large chips from top and bottom, and sparse, slight abrasion; thin, extensive film of encrustation; patch of black discoloration on one side, apparently secondary scorching.
