Fabric, firing, and surface description
Late Roman Corinthian lamp fabric (brownish red but surface 2 mm fired light brown; heavy and somewhat gritty, with rare subrounded chunks of calcitic matter), firing, and surface (slight lateral smoothing). Slight webbing and joining ridge, with slight mislaignment of seam at handle.
Preservation comment
Intact. Moderate to severe, extensive abrasion and large chip from handle; all edges worn; scattered, small patches of encrustation; cloud of dark gray discoloration over top (secondary scorching).
