Description
Circular format. Channel to elongated nozzle, flanked by two tightly rolled volutes. The shape and dimensions of this fragment point to a lamp with one rather than two nozzles; this format typically has a handle ornament.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical fabric (pale pink; somewhat soft, slightly gritty; very fine, few visible inclusions; micaceous), firing, and surface treatment (orangish red slip; variable thickness, semilustrous).
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves small part of front left shoulder and one volute. Slight, sparse abrasion and scratching; slightly worn breaks; specks of encrustation in grooves.
