Typical fabric, firing, and surface treatment for type: grayish red, unevenly fired; hard; granular break; uncommon, small, well sorted, subrounded, pale red and white inclusions; uncommon, medium to large, subangular, lime chunks, many exploding at surface; irregular voids, many elongated at surface. Wheelmade; knife-trimming across body and stringcut base. Handmade nozzxle.
Preservation comment
Five joining fragments preserve roughly one half of front right of lamp, including entire nozzle. Slight chipping around edges and slightly worn breaks, but otherwise surface in good condition.
