Hemispherical bowl with in-turned rim. Wall thickest below rim. Two grooves just above widest point separate outer face of rim from body and sit just above a ovolo band with dots below. Beneath is wide band with well-executed garland of bell and trilobe flowers connected by flowing fine tendrils. Below garland is row of small dots separating middle band from turn to base; no elements of any decorative scheme in that zone extant.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light red fabric with occasional round small light inclusions. Surface thinly slipped, dull red.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve ca. 28% of rim and upper part of wall. Thin slip is variably preserved; a dark patch on exterior may well be later accretion. Very slight, sparse abrasion; worn breaks.
