Description
Type of military arms and armor.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale buff fabric, consistently fired; somewhat soft, very fine, smooth breaking; no visible inclusions; no mica. Thick, even, semimatte slip, orangish red, flaking consistent with postdepositional abrasion. Italian? Corinthian imitative (cf. sigillata)?
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves ca. 8% of discus and small part of shoulder. Slight, extensive abrasion and slight chip around edges; worn breaks; frequent specks to patches of encrustation in grooves.
