Fabric, firing, and surface description
Late Roman Corinthian red lamp fabric: hard, somewhat gritty; dark brownish red; uncommon, small to medium, poorly sorted, lime chunks; tiny lime specks and other dark bits; thin, dull, even wash on exterior; fingerprints on interior floor from pressing clay into mold.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves entire base, most of wall, and handle below seam. Very slight scoring and chipping round edges; worn breaks; thin, widespread patches of encrustation.
