Fabric, firing, and surface description
Obscured by weathering: dark gray, consistently fired(?); medium coarse, medium hard, gritty to sandy texture; common, small to medium, poorly sorted inclusions (mostly light, rounded); uncommon, small, rounded voids in breaks and at surface.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves large part of body and entire base. Hard to assess surface because covered by extensive, rough, thick encrustation, but evidence for sparse gouging and chipping; very worn breaks.
