So far as can be observed through the weathering: yellow, fired very pale brown at surface; soft, gritty fabric; smooth break with powdery texture(?); common, tiny, dark bits; uncommon, medium, angular and subangular brown or dark red inclusions; uncommon, small to medium, angular, lime chunks; uncommon, medium to large, poorly sorted, irregular voids at surface (lime exploding). Surface hard to assess but unslipped, possibly washed. Faint turning marks on exterior body.
Preservation comment
Two joining fragments preserve almost entire vessel but roughly 35% of neck and rim missing. Extensive, moderate abrasion, gouging, and pitting; worn breaks; scattered thick patches of marine growth, including rare vermetid casings. Weathering consistent with prolonged marine submersion.
