1960s: complete reconstruction of circumference with fine white plaster painted pale gray.
Description
Large dish with flaring walls and hollow foot. Rounded outer lip. Sharp transition to lower wall and base on exterior. Short ring foot is deeper under floor.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Slightly coarse, reddish fabric with occasional lime chunks, angular quartz, and frequent tiny bits; variability in fabric more visible because slip almost entirely eroded and many bits exposed on extant surface.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves full profile, 35% of rim, entire base, and large part of body. Slight, extensive abrasion; worn breaks. Marine deposition: widespread erosion; slip almost completely disintegrated.
