Cup with barbotine decoration. Concave body. Drip lines on interior are best indication of original orientation: the most completely preserved barbotine drip is pointed at upper end. At left a vine tendril is partially extant; a large descending blob is entirely preserved in middle; fine tendril and larger mass to right.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine fabric consistently fired to red (2.5YR 6/8) with exceedingly few tiny inclusions and one light round small calcareous inclusion visible in break. Extant exterior slip is mostly slightly darker, with a still darker patch; it preserves its original sheen where not worn. Extant interior has thin, unsmoothed slip dripping down from upper part, plain towards lower edge.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves small part of body. Small patches of abrasion at highest points of relief decoration, but original surfaces are well preserved overall. Mostly clean breaks.
