Description
Circular outline. Large filling hole. Shoulder angles up from filling hole to rim; side walls rounded. Round, projecting nozzle has base attached over rim. Rounded to slightly angular strap handle attaches to upper wall below shoulder rim. Almost flat bottom with distinct rim; slightly concave with raised button in middle.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 7.5YR 8/3, pink. Slip: Gley 1 2.5/10Y, greenish black. Early Corinthian fabric. Semiglossy, thin, uneven slip both inside and out; mottled. Wheelmade. Spiral grooves around bottom from turning.
Preservation comment
Almost intact but missing handle and front end of nozzle. Moderate, extensive abrasion; very slight, extensive film of encrustation.
