Description
Irregular, slightly splayed ring foot; flat to slightly domed bottom. Tall, flaring lower wall. Excess clay on interior; spiral interior on floor and bottom. Slight tooled ridging on exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale orange fabric but splotchy pale areas on exterior. Hard, coarse; granular break and sandy texture throughout; common, small, somewhat well sorted, sandy inclusions, mostly subrounded to spherical: uncommon lime or other calcarous chunks; common to frequent, dark (mostly dark red/brown) and fewer light (many quartzitic) bits; rare, medium, angular, white chunks (limestone?). Southern Phoenician. Cf. KTH0814, KTH0832; sim. KTH2171.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire base and large part of lower wall. Slight, extensive abrasion and chipping around edges and across surface; scattered specks of encrustation.
