Description
Tapering upper wall to everted or outwardly thickened rim. Strap handle, oval to lentoid in section, attached at rim and middle of body. Incised at top of arch with double cross: longer vertical incision, lower horizontal incision spanning handle, shorter lighter horizontal incision above, near end of vertical incision.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Coarse light greenish gray fabric with rare, large, white quartzitic chunks, other medium to small darker angular inclusions. Surface discolored by ash and burning, though extant slip now weak reddish.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves most of one handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and scoring; slightly worn breaks; thin, discontinuous patches of encrustation.
