Description
Wide flaring walls that thicken slightly upward to a plain, rounded lip with heavy thickening on the exterior face to create a torus around the pan just below the mouth, marked off above and below with grooves.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Hard, coarse fabric with a rough surface, brownish gray at the core and dark gray on the surface, contains frequent tiny to small, spherical, varied bits (sand?), faint mica, and rare, small to medium, subrounded and subangular, white (calcareous) inclusions visible in surface.
Preservation comment
One small sherds preserves 5-8% of rim and small part of upper wall. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion with pitting and scratching; worn breaks; scattered specks to patches of encrustation.
