Description
Short cylindrical neck. Rounded, outwardly thickened rim. Arched handle, irregular to somewhat rectangular in section, with slight ridge on upper face.
Fabric, firing, surface
SCA Fabric C: reddish brown fabric; hard; gritty surface and granular break; frequent tiny sparkles (mixed mica?) at surface; uncommon, small, rounded, elongated lime and quartz; other tiny dark bits (gray, rarely red and black). Eastern Aegean/western Asia Minor.
Preservation description
One large sherd preserves 13% of rim, upper half of one handle, and contiguous part of middle to upper neck. Slight to moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion with rare scoring; worn breaks; extensive, variable encrustation.
