Description
Low, flaring wall up to plain, slightly rounded and thickened lip around wide open mouth. Slight undulation of exterior wall and one patch of excess clay. Type usually has flat bottom and a single short, thick, twisted, tubular handle.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Hard, moderately coarse fabric fired reddish brown with flecks of mica and frequent, small, subangular particles including lime and quartzite. Interior has thin, matte, even red slip; exterior has thin, even wash that has been cleanly brushed.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 17% of rim and upper wall. Slight, somewhat sparse abrasion and gouging; worn breaks; somewhat thick, extensive patches of encrustation on all surfaces.
