Description
Wide cylindrical neck tapers up toward rim. Short horizontal rim rounded into knob on exterior; slopes shortly to ledge on interior. Thin wall, fabric, size, and shape support identification as regional fruit amphora.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular fabric is grey with frequent light small to medium subangular inclusions, also embedded in surface. Inner surface is pale red; patchy grey and greyish-brown towards rim edge and exterior surface. Light brush marks on all extant surfaces. NePcf.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 7% of rim and small part of upper wall. Very slight abrasion but sharp breaks; scattered specks of encrustation.
