Small Agora M334=Saraçhane Type 15 (early-mid-6th century?)
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Consistently fired red with a tinge of orange (“brick“) though slightly more brown inside handle; slightly soft? smooth to slightly hackly break; rare, small, rounded lime particles, some exploding at surface; common, other tiny to small sandy bits, well sorted: spherical, mostly sparse but well-sported, dark red but a few light (quartz); rare, small to medium, angular, offwhite chunks (limestone?). Southern Phoenician. Cf. KTH1643.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves one handle and contiguous parts of neck and shoulder. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and minor scoring; somewhat worn breaks; thin film of encrustation.
