Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 5YR 8/4 (pink). Slip: 7.5YR (red). Fine, consistently fired, relatively hard, “Corinthian buff” fabric with rare, tiny to small, well sorted, subangular to subrounded white (calcitic), black, and red particles and very rare, medium-sized, angular chunks. Thin, even, matte slip on interior and up over top of rim. All surfaces show dense wet-smoothing with a fine brush.
