Cooking ware. Outside surface: slightly brownish gray; interior out to surface (1-2mm): slightly reddish brown; core: pale gray. Hard, somewhat coarse; hackly break. Rare to uncommon, small, subangular-angular, poor sorted, dark gray to black bits (some quartzitic?); rare, medium, tabular to subrounded calcareous chunks; uncommon, small flakes of silvery mica Late Roman Aegean micaceous ware: eastern Aegean/southwestern Asia Minor.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 12% of rim. Slight, sparse abrasion and faint scratching; worn breaks; thin, extensive encrustation.
