Dish. Short foot with triangular profile; flat outer face and two grooves on interior. Wide flaring lower body. Slipped on all surfaces.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light red fabric; deep red slip. Fine, hard; smooth break. Uncommon, very small, rounded, lime; tiny light bits; micaceous. Slip on interior surface is thick and slightly glossy in bands; slip on exterior is thinner and matte. Material typical for ware: Çandarlı production. Very well made vessel.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 14% of base and small part of lower wall. Slight, extensive abrasion and pitting and large chips from edges; worn breaks; scattered specks to patches of encrustation.
