Wide body (ovoid?) tapers toward rim. Short, thick, everted rim turns outward and upward diagonally upward. Slightly rounded lip has shallow groove; interior face is mostly straight, delimited below by sharp turn outward and downward that served as lid-seating.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular fabric is brown with frequent small, light, angular to subangular inclusions with some larger ones embedded in surface; other tiny bits. Interior surface is brown consistent with fabric, patchy grey; exterior is strong grey.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds, one large (2137) and one small (2138), preserve 25% of rim and uppermost body. Slight to moderate, sparse abrasion; slightly worn breaks; thin, somewhat extensive patches of encrustation.
