Description
Plate. Low sloping walls. Small, hanging lip, rounded above and pointed below.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: Buff with a faintly pinkish hue on the surfaces; slightly grayish brown core. Fine and compact, medium hard, slightly golden micaceous, with a smooth to conchoidal fracture, containing uncommon small to medium, mostly subrounded but a few elongated, white (calcareous) chunks, rare, angular, gray bits, and poorly sorted, small, black bits. Slip: orangish red; thin but even; flakey. Turning marks on interior. Corinthian.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserve 7% of rim and small part of upper wall. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and significant chipping around edges; worn breaks; slight specks to small patches of encrustation.
