Cup. Upper body is cylindrical, with two deep, sharp grooves. Short, everted to almost horizontal rim; rounded outer face; groove just inside lip on upper inside face.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Reddish orange fabric, fine, hard, smooth break; very rare, poorly sorted, tiny to small, angular, pale gray to clear (quartzite?) inclusions, none calcareous; uncommon tiny red bits; faintly micaceous. Thick, even, semilustrous slip, slightly more red than fabric on exterior and interior; extant exterior has thicker, more smoothed slip, fired deeper red.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 14% of rim and small part of upper body. Surface in good condition; moderately worn breaks; scattered specks to small patches of encrustation on all surfaces.
